Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars Good Review Guide   August 31, 2010
Annabelle A. (Los Angeles, CA)
As this is called a Review Guide, not a study guide, I believe it deserves 5 stars. It does just what it says it will. Not only is it a great review to prepare for the test, it throws a little humor in and makes you feel like you have a study buddy! I would recommend this to anyone who needs an additional prep for the Network+ exam!

4 out of 5 stars Great review guide, not a training manual.   August 12, 2010

The one weakness this book has is that it is not an in-depth training guide. If you are not experienced with networking theory and practice, this will not work as your only study guide. On the other hand, if you have some professional networking experience, and you've studied other books, this is the bast review guide for the test. I had taken a class that was designed around a book for the previous version of the Network+. I knew there were enough changes with the new exam that I would need to get a second book designed for it. This was the book I chose, and it worked well for me.

5 out of 5 stars Good review before the test   March 27, 2010

This book is a great tool to use in conjunction with the Network+ Study Guide. After reading through the sybex study guide, I used this book as a quick refresher before taking the test. It covers the topics briefly and "reminds" you of what to look for on the test. The questions at the end of the chapter will help you drill in any areas you may be weak on. If you miss a question, go back and see why you missed it. For an $20 dollars, this was definately worth getting. I would hate to fail a $200+ test because I didn't decide to spend $20 to prepare. You can definately pass the test on the study guide alone, but I like to make sure I'm going to pass.

4 out of 5 stars Worked for me   June 26, 2009

3 out of 3 found this review helpful

I studied this book and did the review questions at the end of each chapter, along with the flashcards and practice exams on the CD. I consistently got 85-90% on the practice exams in two weeks. I then ordered Lammle's Study guide as I wanted something more in depth. After three more weeks of study, I passed the exam with a score of 845.

I am not an IT guy by trade, but I am considering it. This review guide was a good starting point for me to learn what the exam entailed. If you are an IT person, then this may be all you need to pass the test. I wanted a little more knowledge since I don't get that as an IT person would on the job.
