Perfect device September 3, 2010 I. Rangel (Anaheim, California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Its Awesome and simple to connect..
when i first used the install disk, it asked for my SSID and Password. At first i had problems, than remembered i had space's and first letters capitalized in my SSID and password. After that, it auto connected.
The disk gives you step by step instructions with pictures and animations. P2P, video chat, Stickam and Youtube runs the same -instantly. (im running comcast cable 60$ a month). Stickam is 12 person chat site and streaming video which runs the same as if im connected directly..
Well worth the money. just make sure to buy the same type of router. I was hesitant at first, but finally decided to invest in it and i have 0 regrets. No idea why a some are rating it 1 star.
Update:
Just tested it 3 rooms away, the signal appears low, but performs the same as it did in the living room but slightly better.
Verdict is still out on this... August 30, 2010 Mark K. Johnson (Alaska, USA) The verdict is still out on this puppy. I haven't been able to get it installed and running. My problems are similar to those described in other reviews: Conflicts with other software controlling network and incompatability with my anti-virus program. I can't believe that Cisco hasn't thought about these very, very common situations and developed a fix. Like others, I have been told to uninstall my anti-virus program. I may do that, but am in no hurry. Customer support also seemed to struggle with installing the device under Windows 7. HELLO CISCO!!!!: Windows 7 ships on just about everything these days. Perhaps I will come back in a few weeks and sing the praises of this device, and the Cisco Router I purchased at the same time, but we will have to see. Beware.

This item has taken longer to receive than anything I have ever ordered and I have been a regular customer of Amazon.com.
Works Great August 23, 2010 W. J. Albrecht Jr. (Cincinnati) Our daughter got a desktop for school. We have an older house without hard-wired Internet jacks. We use the wireless for our laptops. The Cisco adapter worked great for the new desktop. Connects right to the USB port and picks up the wireless. Simple to install and get running. Works great so far.
Did not work at all, customer service was terrible August 23, 2010 fthats The product did not function at all, and when I contacted the customer service, I got somebody who barely spoke english and who was not remotely helpful. Huge waste of time, and I am returning the adapter.
