Quick and easy setup, significantly increased speed August 25, 2010 Joseph M. McAdams I had a basic wireless "g" connection for my desktop as my router is in my basement two levels below where the desktop is. I have the D-Link DIR-655 wireless router, so I bought this after reading some reviews. The installation was very easy. I just popped the card in the PCI slot, booted the computer, put the CD in and entered the network password and I was done. I now get and "n" connection and the [...] test is getting 5-8MB on the desktop. I have a 30MB max internet connection from my cable company. This was well worth the $50. I've had Linksys wireless stuff in the past and had issues. I've become a fan of D-Link.
The little adapter that could... June 12, 2010 Matt07924 (Tennessee) Have a PC in an out-of-way nook in my house - the old Linksys adapter was variable - some days it worked and some days it did not. The D-Link adapter (DWA-552) performs great every day! A good signal pickup every time. The software also is easy to use and works. My second D-Link purchase and am pleased.
Works Great and Fast May 18, 2010 Scott_Andrews (La Porte, IN United States) I bought this card to get rid of a 50 ft cat 6 cord, It works faster tham my cat 6 cord. I use it with My DGL 4500 Router, I just adjust the speed setting and drop off the setups to support old legacy b wifi devices and small things like that and it really improves performance.
Worked out of box with Win 7 April 30, 2010 RobbAce (Madera, CA) This worked right out of the box with Win 7. Plugged in card, ran cd, BAM - online.
Pretty good March 21, 2010 HAR Product was received in a timely manner. We had some compatibility problems, which we discovered other people had had after reading more reviews on line after we already purchased it. After quite a bit of hard work, we were able to get it to run properly. Do a lot of research before purchasing to make sure there are no compatibility problems with your router.
