Fast set up. Nice stand is included! January 1, 2009 John Kane I had to replace my 2wire adapter because my 3 year old one did not have drivers for 64 bit Vista. This D-Link model works in Vista Premium 64 bit OS. It comes with a 2' USB cable that has a stand on the end that the adapter can be placed into. The stand is heavy enough so that the adapter will not easily slide around. The stand is nice because I would rather use the USB port in the back of the computer, so the adapter doesn't stick out to far get broken off when someone walks by the computer. Whats great is the signal is stronger and more steady than my old adapter. I was almost going to buy a lesser brand at Best Buy for $15 more, but bought this model for $15 less on Amazon with free shipping. It only took 5 days to arrive. I love Amazon.com, they make my life easier Yea!!
Works with USB 1.1 and Linux December 24, 2008 P. R. Bilger (State College, PA) I just received this adapter and I'm very pleased. It works with my aging Dell c400, 1.1 USB and all. It also works perfectly with Ubuntu Linux 8.1, which was quite a pleasant surprise after a nightmare experience with Linksys. Even WEP works with Linux, something I could never get working with my older Linksys card.
Works great with MacBook December 20, 2008 Timothy C. Archer (Abilene, TX USA) I've been using this product on a MacBook that had lost its Airport card. It's worked flawlessly. The drivers can be downloaded from the D-Link website.
D-Link Wireless G USB December 13, 2008 Froghollow (Chester County, PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the D-Link wireless G USB to replace a bad wireless card on a friends Gateway laptop with Win Vista. The install was easy and seamless. The connection setup was just as simple. At times the signal strength would read low but the connection speed was low even though other laptops in the area were reading very good. But I must say unless you were watching the signal strength you would not have noticed. I would buy this product again without hesitation.
Simple and effective December 12, 2008 H. C. Ho (L.A. California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought it because D-link DWA-130 wireless N is too sensitive, when my neighbor turn on their wireless network, I have to disconnect and reconnect to my own Wifi. May be I am using a b/g router. The n USB adapter just confused with neighbor's router. When I switch back to b/g USB adapter, they couldn't detect my neighbor's signals and so they work great. You don't need the extra range if your lot is not extra large.
