 Solid performer at a great price September 6, 2010

This little unit does a great job of providing Wireless N and Wireless G signal to my home network. I've been very pleased with how well it's able to handle all the computers on my network and I've been able to start taking advantage of services like Hulu for streaming video.
It would be nice if the unit was able to use dd-wrt, and the version I have has the v1.0 hardware which won't work with the v2.0 firmware.
I got this on sale for a great pricand have been very happy with the performance.

Installation manual is marginal for instructions on setup. Was wishing I had a teenage kid to help me! No installation wizards and CD supplied is only a copy of the manual - big deal. A royal pain to install this router.

Got first router and tried to set up per book, no go. Disconnects so bad I could not load sites. Called support tried every thing they knew to do, told to return first router. Second router did the same thing, sent to level two. Tried every thing they knew to do, told level three would call in 24 hours, still waiting(four days). Tried every setting on setup page found that with DMZ I could get online with no disconnects just some slow loads and some no loads. Router seems to be a very good wireless router, changes to router very easy to do and you can get back from wrong settings quickly. Just wish they had a good support team you could understand with out asking over and over what they said.

Excellent router.. have not had to reset since installing. Bought this one because I had bought one for my parents that is still on its first power up, 8 months later. stable, good range, easy set up. A good product.

This is a really good router, better that other recognized brands in the market , It is really fast , I could not get 300 mbps but it was good anyway , the connection is stable even 2 floors above it ( 100% signal) .
I had to return it because my VoIP device did not work properly , it was because of the build in firewall of this router, but besides that it is the best router i ever seen , I had to buy a linsys e2000 , which is working fine with my VoIP , but i can tell you, it is not as fast and strong signal as the TEW-639GR.
I called technical support and they tried to help me for more that 2 hours, they are slow but helpful, at the end we found that the firewall was blocking myVoIP and they ask me to return the device.
If you don't need to connect fancy devices like VoIP , cameras , or devices different that computers , this is the best router for you .
